Join us as we host the Durham Miners Association at the famous 100 Club on London’s Oxford Street for a comedy night to mark the close of the 40th anniversary of the Miners Strike.
The 1984-85 Miners’ Strike was a pivotal moment in modern British history. Within a decade of the end of this strike, every mine on the Durham coalfield had been closed. But the Durham Miners Gala has survived as a symbol of defiance and a beacon of hope. It is now the largest trade union event in Europe and a wonderful celebration of community and working class life.

From the coal mines of Durham and Tamworth to the garment factories of Dhaka and Tamil Nadu, there is power in a union.
