A POSITIVE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
While large brands routinely engage in greenwashing to mask their environmental impact, No Sweat takes a different path. We recognise that all production affects the planet, which is why we prioritise transparency and harm reduction. We continuously work to minimise the negative effects of our supply chain by choosing sustainable fabrics and ethical manufacturing processes that put the planet and people first.
No Sweat works closely with suppliers to ensure that our clothes are as environmentally friendly as possible.
CERTIFIED ORGANIC COTTON
Our clothes and garments are made with certified organic cotton. This means we can investigate the supply chain from farm to factory and ensure there is no exploitation involved in the production. The cotton used to make our clothes is certified Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), which means it contains a minimum of 95% certified organic fibres and is not made with any genetically modified products.
FREE FROM HARMFUL SUBSTANCES
Our clothes are made with fabric that is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, which means it’s been tested to be free from harmful levels of substances known to damage human health. OEKO-TEX (the International Association for Research and Testing in the Field of Textile and Leather Ecology) confirm the human-ecological safety of textile products and attest to socially and environmentally sound conditions in production facilities.
AZO-FREE DYEING PROCESS
Azo dyes are known to be potentially dangerous to human health and when found entering the water system have been linked to health deterioration, the death of fish, and the contamination of rivers with carcinogenic aromatic amines. Our clothes are coloured with an azo-free dyeing process.
ECO-FRIENDLY WATER FILTRATION
Our main supplier, Eastman Exports is one of India’s first textile companies to introduce Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) methods for conserving and reusing wastewater. Currently, the group recycles 3-4 million litres of wastewater every day and less than 10% of freshwater is withdrawn from natural resources.
VEGAN FRIENDLY
No Sweat is committed to producing clothing that’s not only sweatshop-free but also 100% vegan-friendly. We use no animal products in our garments, ensuring a clear conscience for our customers. This commitment to cruelty-free materials minimises our environmental footprint.
